Common questions

Where are my recordings stored?

Only on your device, encrypted at rest. Flowphonic doesn't have a server or a cloud backup — see the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Does transcription work without an internet connection?

Yes, once an on-device speech model is downloaded for your language. Without one installed, transcription needs a connection, since it falls back to your phone's own cloud recognizer.

Can I get my markers into my video editor?

Yes — export a session's markers in Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro format directly from the session screen, alongside the audio and an SRT transcript if you want one.

What happens to my recordings if I uninstall the app?

They're deleted, since nothing is backed up anywhere else. Export anything you want to keep before uninstalling.

Can I correct a transcript if it mishears something?

Yes — tap any transcript line in the session screen to edit its text directly, the same way you'd rename a marker.

Is Flowphonic available on iOS?

It's coming — Android is available now, and an iOS release for the App Store is in development. Email us if you'd like to know when it's out.
